We loved everything about The Capen House and what they had to offer. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, romantic, grand, and perfectly set up for an outdoor celebration surrounded by the lake and gardens. It truly captures that timeless, elegant Florida charm we wanted. We also appreciated that they partner with amazing, well-known vendors while still letting you choose from a trusted list that fits your own style and budget. Everything from the layout to the atmosphere was exactly what we envisioned.
The day-of coordinator, was such a joy to work with. She was incredibly organized, calm, and attentive from the moment we met her. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she made sure every detail was accounted for, and on the day itself, she handled everything flawlessly behind the scenes. She made sure our timeline stayed on track and that we could truly relax and enjoy our day. Our families and vendors all commented on how smoothly everything ran and that’s entirely thanks to her.
We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or coordinator. The Capen House made our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more, and we’ll always be grateful for how special they made it.

We had our wedding at Capen House on January 26, 2024. We absolutely loved it! The venue was perfect. It has character and allows you to be creative. We had such a positive experience with all the staff at Capen House. We couldn’t have pulled off the wedding without Hannah and having her as our day of coordinator. It was well worth it! She made sure that everything went according to the plan.

We had a smaller wedding of 45 people and this venue was perfect for us! We looked at what I feel like was every venue in the central Florida area before finding this gem. I love that it is on the water and their team of professionals is so great at answering questions and being there for you leading up to and on your big day. The venue is gorgeous with so many options for reception, cocktail hour, ceremony, etc. It fit our needs perfectly!

When I attended Capen House’s open house, they demonstrated to me that whoever wishes to be married at this venue will be completely taken care of. Not only do they have well-thought-out vendors and amenities in their beautiful garden, but things like huge, covered areas by photogenic spots that even look good during rainy days! The Capen House is hands down the best choice for a magical wedding day! Nestled in the picturesque Winter Park, it’s like stepping into a vintage fairytale with its charming old Florida lake house vibes. From the moment we stepped foot on the grounds, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. The stunning views of the lake provided the most breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony, and the ambiance was just unbeatable. Not to mention, the staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. We could not have asked for a better place to have our wedding! The Capen House is beautiful inside and out and was a perfect fit for our wedding (guest count 95). The venue is quick to respond to emails and return phone calls too. They offer a list of preferred vendors which was a nice place to start when looking at different vendor options. We highly recommend The Capen House for any special events!
